Board-certified cardiologist Behzad Taghizadeh, MD, FACC, provides comprehensive care to patients at San Diego Varicose Vein Treatment Center. At the practice locations in La Mesa and San Diego, California, the overall well-being of the patient is his primary focus.

Dr. Taghizadeh is among the progressive cardiovascular physicians across the country with specialized training and expertise in the management of varicose veins and venous insufficiency. He graduated from West Chester University in Chester County, Pennsylvania, in 1989. He received his medical degree from Saint George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, in 1995. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, and a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Albany Medical Center Hospital in 2002. 

Dr. Taghizadeh then opened up his own cardiology practice in North Carolina where, in addition to cardiology, he began treating patients for venous diseases. With treatments such as Radiofrequency and Laser, endovenous ablation, Clarivein, Varithena, Sclerotherapy, Veingogh, and ambulatory phlebectomy, he has improved the quality of life for many of his patients and continues to do so. 

In 2015, Dr. Taghizadeh moved to the greater San Diego area where he began San Diego Varicose Vein Treatment Center. As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Taghizadeh is highly specialized in varicose vein treatment with over 15 years of experience managing complex peripheral vascular and venous diseases. He will not only diagnose your varicose veins but also will perform procedures to remove or close them as necessary.
