Meet Dr. Behzad Taghizadeh

 Dr. Taghizadeh

Dr. Taghizadeh is among progressive cardiovascular physicans across the country with specialized training and expertise in the management of varicose veins and venous insufficiency. He graduated from West Chester University in 1989. He received his medical degree from Saint George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, in 1995. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, and a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Albany Medical Center Hospital in 2002. He then opened up his own Cardiology practice in North Carolina where, in addition to Cardiology, he began treating patients for Venous disease. With treatments such as enodvenous ablation, Clarivein, Varithena, Sclerotherapy and ambulatory phlebectomy, he has improved the quality of many of his patients lives and continues to do so. In 2015, Dr. Taghizadeh moved to the greater San Diego area where he began his new practice. In addition to the La Mesa location, Dr. Taghizadeh is also sees patients at his El Cajon location.

Meet Dr. Laurence Yellen

 Dr. Yellen

Dr. Yellen was born and raised in the Chicago area. He completed his studies at the University of Illinois. He moved to California, where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine/Cardiology at Los Angeles County Medical Center and the Good Samaritan Hospital in the greater Los Angeles area. He then moved to the San Diego area, where he has been practicing Cardiology for over 40 years. When he’s not busy golfing, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife of 25 years, or laughing with his 4 children and 7 grandchildren.

Eva Namath- Office manager / Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer

Eva joined our practice after being hired on as our practice manager immediately following the completion of her cardiac clinical rotations in December of 2016. She has a long history of insurance administrative work with several medical practices, as well as hospitals in the Southern California region. After changing careers, and pursuing her dream in the medical field, she received her Diploma in General and Vascular Sonography from MTI College in 2015. She then continued on in her studies at Adcon College where she received an additional diploma in Cardiovascular Sonography in July of 2016. Eva manages our cardiology practice, as well as performs studies on our cardiac patients. On procedure days, you will find Eva assisting Dr. Taghizadeh with his vascular procedures.


Mastora Tahiri - Cardiac Sonographer

Mastora joined our team as a Cardiac Sonographer after working with our partnering doctor in January of 2017. She graduated from West Coast Ultrasound Institute in 2013 and has been practicing in cardiology since her graduation. As a cardiac sonographer, Mastora has a passion for serving her patients and her collegues and is loved by everyone who meets her. When she's not busy with work, she enjoys spending her time with her husband, children and friends. We are so glad to have her positive and kind nature as a part of work team.

Carolina Morales -  Medical Assistant

Carolina earned her Diploma in Medical Assisting in June 2016 at UEI College. She's been working with the practice since September of 2016. She has become a wonderful asset to our office and greatly enjoys assisting the doctor in his vascular procedures as she pursues her dream to become an RN. Carolina is also bilingual and often assists the doctor with our Spanish speaking patients. Carolina has a very calm demeanor and is loved by many of our patients, as well as our staff.

Roya often assists Dr. Taghizadeh with his vascular procedures on procedure day. She has been helping Dr. Taghizadeh with his patients for many years and has always been a pleasure to work with. Her calm and soothing nature has always been very comforting to the patients especially during their procedures.
